What is Mat Training?
Mat Training is about teaching your dog nice calm behaviour in any situation. Mat Training is a positive place that your dog can relax whilst understanding they are not to move from their mat unless initiated by you.
Where can I use Mat Training?
Mat Training, once taught correctly, can be used anywhere and everywhere. At home, the local Café, Family BBQ’s. Having a calm relaxed dog whilst you enjoy a coffee or family lunch, beach or BBQ. Your dog can be part of the fun!
How else is Mat Training useful?
Mat Training is one of the foundation techniques I teach for behavioural issues such as Separation Anxiety, Over Excitement, Jumping on visitors etc. Mat Training can help anxious dogs learn to self-settle and build confidence.
